Environmental Protection and Sustainability
Operating factories and production facilities generate many environmentally harmful pollutants and emissions. Therefore, as a company, we prioritize sustainable production methods and place high importance on environmental protection for ourselves and future generations. We continuously monitor our carbon footprint through various methods and audits, striving to reduce it as part of our #MISSION-CLIMATE-NEUTRAL initiative. Our efforts to reduce environmental impact begin with digitalization in our offices and extend to transitioning to renewable energy sources.
Since 2019, we have reduced our paper consumption by 17%, with all processes and procedures now being handled digitally. According to estimates from our environmental partner, our #DIGITALIZATION efforts have already saved approximately 8,000 trees. It's important to note that this figure is based on calculations and serves as a rough estimate.
For the production of our components, we predominantly use materials and raw materials that are manufactured with low CO2 emissions. We conduct detailed reviews of the production processes of our raw material suppliers before entering into contracts, whenever possible, to ensure that the production of raw materials is indeed as CO2-efficient as possible.
Since 2021, we have been transitioning primarily to renewable energy sources to ensure long-term and sustainable production. By 2030, we aim to source 30% of our total electricity consumption from solar power. Investments and planning for this initiative are currently underway. Additionally, where feasible, we are converting our fleet to electric vehicles. To facilitate the use of electric automobiles in our daily operations, we plan to significantly increase the number of charging stations in our employee parking lots.
As an additional contribution to environmental protection, all our offices exclusively use a browser that plants new trees for every search made. This simple and efficient measure allows us to make a small contribution to combating climate change without compromising convenience.
